Google Shopping availability: connect product data to Guangzhou stock and dispatch
Match promoted variants and delivery settings to accepted China stock, actual handling work and the merchant store's approved orders.
By SINO CEP Insight editorial team
Availability needs an operating basis: the product shown on Google, the variant sold by your store and the stock released in Guangzhou should describe the same item. Review the physical readiness and dispatch plan behind the displayed delivery promise.
Name the store that owns the order
Google’s shipping guidance explains that Google displays products and shipping information, then directs customers to the merchant website. The merchant fulfills the purchase. Use the actual checkout store’s approved order file for Guangzhou preparation.
Keep a promoted product reference where useful, but do not turn a product-data row, click or campaign report into a dispatch instruction. Agree how the store supplies customer orders, changes and cancellations, and who receives the parcel and tracking records.
Map the exact variant across the three records
Google’s item-group guidance groups related variants while requiring a distinct product identity for each variant. Create a mapping from that product identity to the store variant and physical Guangzhou SKU. Keep the group reference for related products; a group alone does not tell a picker which colour or size to release.
As an illustrative example, an available blue medium item does not make a red small item available. Check the promoted image, selected landing-page variant and order line against the receiving specification. Record changes to designs, materials or included accessories before treating the replacement as the same stock.
Review availability after receiving and reservations
Google’s availability rules require consistent information across product data, the landing page and checkout. They distinguish in-stock, out-of-stock, preorder and backorder states. The merchant should review the correct state for the actual item and selling arrangement.
For Guangzhou planning, separate accepted units from supplier-promised arrivals, stock awaiting checks and quantities already reserved. A carton physically on a shelf may still be held for an inspection decision or missing a required bundle component.
- Identify the accepted quantity by SKU and version.
- Subtract approved reservations for existing orders and other channels.
- List shortages, held goods and pending supplier arrivals separately.
- Name the merchant responsible for reviewing store and Merchant Center updates.
Include the work before the carrier handover
Google’s handling-time documentation defines handling as the period between the order being placed and the product shipping. Review that period against the actual process: supplier release where needed, receiving acceptance, order approval, picking, any assembly and packing.
Keep this preparation period distinct from carrier transit. Agree working days, cut-off times and the event that confirms dispatch. A generated label is a reference; the carrier handover record establishes when the approved parcel left the operation.
Review changes before extending a delivery promise
A new destination, heavier bundle or larger branded box may require a different shipment assessment. Use the approved packed dimensions and weight, product details and destination to review the route. Do not copy another product’s delivery setting without checking its handling and parcel profile.
When stock or the route changes, connect the affected SKU and orders to the merchant’s update decision. Our Google Shopping operation page, stock allocation, packing review and dispatch planning pages provide the handover points. Scope and destination acceptance require shipment-specific confirmation.
