Pinterest product Pins: keep the displayed item aligned with the Guangzhou release

Connect catalog variants, current store availability and campaign samples to physical China stock, approved packing and actual merchant orders.

Follow the product through checkout: a Pinterest product Pin introduces an item; the merchant’s customer order authorizes its release. Connect the displayed variant and set contents to the store record and approved Guangzhou stock before packing.

Start with the actual purchase and support path

Pinterest’s shopping help says product Pins direct shoppers to the merchant website. Order questions, shipping details and refunds belong with the merchant. Identify the checkout storefront and its order-transfer method in the Guangzhou brief.

A saved Pin, catalog entry or campaign click is useful context, not a paid customer order. Retain the campaign reference where supplied, then release stock against the approved merchant order and recipient record. Name the store team responsible for customer updates.

Keep the shown product and physical variant connected

Pinterest’s retail catalog guidance includes a product ID, landing-page link and availability, with an item group ID for multiple variants. Its product title should identify relevant variant details, and the landing page should show the same product data.

Map the catalog item to the store variant and receiving SKU. Record colour, size, material, quantity per unit and included accessories where relevant. A styled image may show several products; the order brief must identify which pieces the customer actually purchased.

For an illustrative example, a photograph of a main item beside an accessory should not automatically create a two-piece kit. Confirm the listing and order contents, then use the approved component record for picking and packing.

Plan the availability update as a separate step

Pinterest’s catalog guide distinguishes a hosted source accessed daily from a file uploaded manually. Manual data changes require an updated upload; ingestion errors can prevent all or part of a catalog from updating.

A Guangzhou stock adjustment therefore needs an agreed path to the store and product-data owner. Do not assume that a receiving record instantly changes the public Pin. Record the stock decision, product-data revision and the merchant’s review of the result.

Separate campaign samples from saleable stock

Supplier samples, creator parcels and paid customer orders can draw from the same physical SKU. Reserve each approved purpose separately, including any special presentation materials. Keep sample units, held goods and incomplete sets outside the quantity allocated to customer fulfillment.

  • Received: identify the supplier batch and checked quantity.
  • Reserved: record paid-order and approved sample allocations.
  • Held: show defects, missing components or unresolved versions.
  • Available: identify the balance approved for the merchant’s next release.

Keep packing and delivery information current

Approve the parcel contents, protection, inserts and packing version against the actual product. Measure the finished parcel for the destination review. A campaign sample box may have different dimensions and preparation steps from the standard customer pack.

Review the store’s delivery expectations against supplier readiness, Guangzhou preparation and the selected carrier route. If a variant, bundle or destination changes, identify who approves the physical release and who corrects product and shipping information.

Return merchant order, parcel and tracking references after dispatch. Start with our Pinterest order handover, campaign sample planning, stock allocation and order handover pages. Confirm product acceptance, packing scope and destination before preparation.
