Squarespace orders: carry form responses into Guangzhou packing
Choose the export that preserves required form answers, reconstruct multi-product orders and keep variant stock connected to the approved packing version.

Keep three instructions together: the sold variant, any relevant customer form response and the approved packing version. A Squarespace order export becomes a Guangzhou preparation brief only after those records are matched to accepted physical stock.
Separate the variant from a preparation request
Squarespace’s variant guide explains that variants represent attributes such as size or colour and each has its own SKU. Use that SKU and the selected option values to identify the physical item received from your China supplier.
A form answer may carry another instruction, such as wording for a gift card. Keep it attached to the correct order and product rather than using it as a replacement stock identity. For an illustrative gift set, the variant identifies the product; the approved card instruction identifies the packing task and materials.
Choose an export that carries the required fields
The Commerce export guide distinguishes all-product exports from specific-product exports. Add to cart form responses appear in specific-product exports; checkout form fields have their own columns. Validate the actual sample before assuming the file contains every preparation instruction.
Document the selected statuses, product scope and export time. The date filter uses order creation dates. A collection-launch batch therefore needs an explicit order selection, rather than treating a date range as the release decision.
If required wording is missing, request the relevant source response or a merchant-approved instruction record. Confirm the text, item and affected quantity before ordering inserts or starting preparation.
Reconstruct the complete order before picking
Squarespace documents that order-wide details, including the order ID and shipping address, appear only on the first product row of a multi-product order. Later rows carry line-item details. An empty address cell on a later row can therefore belong to the same order.
Validate grouping with a sample containing several products and one relevant form response. Preserve the source order identity on every preparation line. Compare all ordered SKUs and quantities with the component list before deciding whether one or several parcels are needed.
Do not silently carry an address across an unexplained row boundary. Agree the file structure and flag rows that cannot be confidently linked to an order.
Reserve launch stock and packing materials together
Reconcile supplier arrivals in Guangzhou before allocating the launch. Separate accepted units from goods held for identity or condition checks. Reserve the approved quantities alongside routine orders so the same stock does not serve two releases.
- Product: supplier batch, variant SKU and accepted quantity.
- Presentation: approved box, insert or gift-card version.
- Customer instruction: source response and merchant clarification where needed.
- Release: selected orders, packing approval and unresolved balance.
A late change to card wording or an insert needs a decision about the affected orders and materials already prepared. Record the replacement version and check the current packing stage before resuming work.
Return dispatch evidence before updating the store
Squarespace’s fulfillment guide describes manually fulfilling physical orders with tracking details and an optional customer notification. Name the merchant contact who uses the Guangzhou dispatch record for that update.
Return actual contents, parcel references, tracking and carrier handover evidence. Check any outstanding quantities separately. The export guide also notes that status changes do not update previously auto-exported orders in Google Drive or Zapier; use a dated current instruction when reviewing what still needs release.
Plan with our Squarespace handover, brand packing, stock allocation and order and dispatch records. Confirm store features, preparation scope, goods and route acceptance for your actual operation.
